2.            From UK Airports to Kettering

A.                        By Train

The most important thing to note is that Luton Airport (London- Luton) is by far the easiest, quickest and cheapest airport to use to get to Kettering. If you have a choice, go to that one!

If you take the train, you may be able to buy a ticket from your local travel agent or simply buy a ticket from the first station. It is usually well worth buying a return ticket as they are normally much cheaper than 2* single tickets. Ticket prices below are approximate and for off peak. I have attached some Internet links at the bottom of the page. You can book specific seats if you buy in advance, but not at the station.

B.                        By Taxi

If you prefer to get a taxi, the prices are for pre-booked taxis, using small local companies based in Kettering, which will come and meet you at the airport. The cost of the car is total and so will be split between everyone. I have put further details later. You will need to call with full details of your flight. I also advise that you call immediately before leaving your country to confirm. They will usually seat 3 or 4 people, unless you use the 8-seater company. You may need to send a deposit in advance. If you pick up a taxi from the airport you will pay a lot more, as it will be on a meter.

Visit Warwick Castle + have a medieval banquet in the evening.

Will forward as becomes available.

Transport will be arranged depending on number of delegates interested and provided to/from KLV.

Tuesday - 25th June 2002

Visit London + go on the London-Eye.

Rates (excluding travel costs) with group discount (over 10 people): -

Children - £4.50

Adults - £9.45

Senior Citizens - £7.65

Transport will be arranged depending on number of delegates interested and provided to/from KLV. Plan to spend a few hours sight seeing in London and then go on the London-Eye later that evening.

NOTE (London-Eye):  It works out much more expensive to hire a private capsule. It is best to book tickets in advance and join the queue together. A capsule holds 25 people.

If you are interested in either of these sightseeing dates then please email me. This will give me an idea of numbers nearer the time and will help me organize the two events better.

Finally, I look forward to seeing old friends again and making new ones this seminar. If you need to get in touch then please email me on mamdouh.yanni@parthus.com. Good luck and all the best.
